Dr. Vonda Wells, Ph.D

My name is Dr. Vonda Wells. My experience working with children began in a developmental preschool setting. I went on to work in Head Start and Early Head Start programs, the public school system, and now into adult education. It has been a wonderful opportunity for me to see the importance of education literally from the beginning of our lives. I hope that you will all continue to be lifelong learners. Even though that term may get overused at times, I think it is a very important goal for us to have as educators.

I have an associate’s degree in Computer Science, a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I hold a K-6 Elementary Education teaching certificate, an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education, English as a Second Language, and Principal K-12. The reason I tell you all this is that I hope my experience and background can be a resource for you. There are a lot of opportunities in education and I really like talking to students about the options that are out there for you.

I keep busy with my home, my children and my animals.  I love spending time with friends and family.
